Tyler Baltierra Goes to Therapy for “Self-Care” Amid Wife Catelynn’s Return to Rehab

Just a few days after it was revealed that Catelynn Lowell would be continuing treatment, her husband Tyler Baltierra announced he was also going to therapy. In a candid video shared to social media, the Teem Mom OG star opened up about his counseling session.

"I made it. I made it to my therapist appointment. Putting in a little self-care today, know what I mean?" the 26-year-old said. "Sometimes you have to put yourself ahead of some other people sometimes in life. Doesn't mean you don't love 'em or care about 'em. It just means you love 'em enough to put yourself first so you can be the best ‘you' you can be."

He also thanked his fans for supporting his family during this difficult time. "You guys really inspire me and impact me more than you think. I always believe that we, as a society, need to learn how [to] love each other better," he added. "You guys have really [sic] showed that lately with our family crisis that’s going on."

Earlier this month, Catelynn, 25, shared with fans that she would be returning to rehab for the third time to continue treatment for her depression and suicidal thoughts. Before checking in, she made sure to thank her husband and their daughter Novalee, 3, for their support. "THANK YOU @TylerBaltierra I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!! You are my light!! And Nova you are my sunshine #KeepTalkingMH," she tweeted.

Along with therapy sessions, Tyler has also been putting his health first by losing over 25 pounds. "This got me feeling some type of way right now," he captioned a before and after photo. "Left picture was almost 5 weeks ago a right picture was today. Eating healthier just feels better and obviously looks better hahaha lol BOOM!" And despite the strain of not having his longtime partner at home, Tyler supports her decision to seek professional help.

“My wife is incredibly strong and courageous,” he tweeted in December. “She inspires me to just be a better human being all around and I’m honored to share my life with such a selfless soul. I love her so much and can’t wait for her to be home!”
