Tom Cruise looks like a whole different person in his new film, thanks to some movie magic!
On Monday, July 13, Warner Bros. released the trailer for Digger, in which the famed actor, 64, dons thin gray hair, gray eyebrows, a gut and wrinkles, making him appear much older than he typically looks.
Beyond the physical transformation, the Mission: Impossible star delivers his lines in a Southern accent in the trailer as he takes on the role of Digger Rockwell.
Fans took to the comment section freaking out over the three-time Golden Globe Award winner’s appearance.
“Tom cruise looks so unrecognizable here it’s amazing,” one person wrote.
“The prosthetics on cruise look crazy! He’s basically unrecognizable,” a second agreed.

“The biggest physical transformation Tom Cruise has done since Tropic Thunder,” a third penned, referring to the 2008 flick in which he appeared partially bald.
“Seeing an old Tom Cruise is wild,” a fourth chimed in.
A synopsis of the dark comedy, directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu, explained: “The most powerful man in the world embarks on a frantic mission to prove he is humanity’s savior before the disaster he’s unleashed destroys everything.”

As In Touch previously reported, Iñárritu discussed Cruise’s transformation at a screening at CinemaCon in Las Vegas back in April, admitting, “Watching Tom Cruise becoming Digger Rockwell, I was not prepared for that,” per The Hollywood Reporter.
“Embodying this character, this is another kind of fearless… this role could be his most challenging, hire-wire act,” Iñárritu further remarked.
