Were Todd and Julie Chrisley Pardoned By President Donal Trump?
Trump announced on May 27, 2025, that he had granted Todd and Julie full pardons.
He said he believed that Todd and Julie were “given a pretty harsh treatment, based on what I’m hearing.”
“It’s a terrible thing, but it’s a great thing, because your parents are going to be free and clean,” Trump said to the couple’s children during a phone call, which was shared via X. “I hope we can do it by tomorrow. … I don’t know them, but give them my regards and wish them a good luck.”
When Will Todd and Julie Chrisley Be Released From Prison?
While talking to the Chrisley children on the May 27, 2025, phone call, Trump told them that he hoped they would be released “by tomorrow.”
“Is that OK? We’ll try getting it done tomorrow,” he continued. “I don’t know them but give them my regards. Wish them a good life.”
They were both released from prison on May 28, 2025. Savannah was on hand at Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Florida to pick Todd up, while their son Grayson Chrisley picked up Julie at Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
“This process has been absolutely insane and I’m just so grateful that I’m gonna leave here with my dad,” Savannah told reporters before Todd’s release, according to TMZ. “I got here at 2 a.m. last night and I have not gone to sleep… I’m just a daughter who wants to take her dad home with me.”
She added that Todd “couldn’t believe it” he and Julie were being released because it “came out of nowhere.”

“For the past two and a half years, I’ve done everything in my power to fight for my parents’ freedom and bring them home,” Savannah continued. “This moment is the answer to countless prayers, and I am beyond grateful to President Trump for seeing the truth and restoring my family.”
After noting that the Trump administration “does not hand out favors,” Savannah said they examined “the facts” and stood up “for what is right” while making the decision. She went on to thank Alice Marie Johnson “for her unwavering support and our attorney, Alex Little, for being an essential part of this process.”
“Today is a victory for our family, but the fight against wrongful convictions and injustice within our prison system is far from over. I will continue to use my voice and platform to advocate for those who do not have one,” Savannah said. “Family is everything to me, and I will never stop fighting for what is right.”
Todd and Julie were initially indicted in August 2019, while their sentences were revealed in November 2022. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison followed by three years of supervised release, while Julie was sentenced to seven years behind bars.
