‘Teen Mom 3’ Star Mackenzie Douthit McKee Reveals She Suffered a Miscarriage After Baby No. 2

Pregnancy was no walk in the park for Teen Mom 3 star Mackenzie Douthit-McKee. While she’s now a proud mama to two precious little ones — three-year-old Gannon and one-year-old Jaxie — both pregnancies were considered high-risk as Mackenzie has long battled Type 1 diabetes.

And now she’s opening up about another heartbreaking medical scare: She suffered a miscarriage after giving birth to her second child.

“After Jaxie, I got pregnant again and lost the baby,” the 20-year-old tells Wetpaint.

“That has been really emotionally hard on me because I felt like it was my fault…but my doctor said it wasn’t my fault. It’s hard not to blame myself, but if I could take away from this pain, then I think we would have more.”

She says she’s opening up about her heartache because, “I feel like it makes me stronger to talk about things instead of keeping it [in].”

While Mackenzie — who, in the past, has admitted to having marital problems with her husband, Josh, 22 — says she’d be open to having more kids, she also says Josh has considered a vasectomy (though Mackenzie has her hesitations).

“It’s something that I’m praying about and I cry about it sometimes, because it’s such a lifelong decision,” she admits. “I’m just scared to try and get pregnant again and lose another baby. It’s really emotionally bad.”

Even if the reality TV couple don’t have another baby soon, Mackenzie still has her heart set on welcoming a new addition to her brood.

“I’m hoping, or if not, we can adopt a puppy because I just love babies,” she gushes.
