With 12 remaining players left on season 47 of Survivor, it officially became an individual game. The Wednesday, October 30, episode picked up following Rome’s ousting and the official merge.

Survivor’s Andy Is Ready to Turn on Gata

Sol had to do damage control with Andy after voting for him at tribal. He explained that he thought Rome had an idol and feared going home if Rome played said idol and threw a vote on him. In order to gain Andy’s trust, Sol was willing to give up some information and confided in Andy that Sam was the one who decided he should be the backup plan. Andy thought he was working with Sam and Sierra but this was a red flag. Once Andy realized he needed new allies who would actually stick by him, he struck up a deal with Sol and set his sights on targeting his former allies and Gata tribemates.

The next morning, Andy and Genevieve — who was also looking for a new ally — decided to work together and plan a sneak attack.

Meanwhile, Rachel, Teeny, Tiyana and Sierra discussed forming an all-female alliance and getting out one of the guys. Tiyana suggested Gabe as the target because she found him to be a “threat.”

Who Won the Immunity Challenge in ‘Survivor’ Season 47, Episode 7?

For the immunity challenge, the players were split into two groups of 12. The group that won the challenge earned immunity and reward, plus the opportunity to watch the other tribe go to tribal council. The six in the losing tribe would have to head to tribal council, with the player who won the challenge within their tribe earning immunity.

The yellow team was made up of three original Gata members — Andy, Sam and Sierra — and three original Lavo members — Teeny, Sol and Sierra. The blue team was five Tuku members — Caroline, Sue, Tiyana, Kyle and Gabe — and Rachel as the lone former Gata player.

For the challenge, the players had to balance a ball on the end of a long pole and see who could keep it up the longest. The yellow team won thanks to Genevieve and Teeny outlasting Kyle, who was the last remaining player on the blue team. That meant that Andy, Sam, Sierra, Teeny, Sol, Sierra and Kyle were immune, with Rachel, Caroline, Sue, Tiyana and Gabe at risk of going home.

As the only non-Tuku player, Rachel seemed like the obvious choice to be targeted at tribal. However, the all-women’s alliance also had its first chance to start working together.

At the reward feast, Sam proposed the idea of the former Gata and Lavo players teaming up to take out some of the Tukus at the next vote. Meanwhile, Teeny pointed out that there was likely another idol in play since the amulet was played at the previous tribal council. Right on cue, cameras flashed to a hidden scroll at the feast.

As everyone else struggled with a food coma, Sol found the scroll and found out that he would have a chance to impact tribal council. He had to send an advantage to one player on the losing team and choose between two options: block someone’s vote or have safety without power, meaning they could get up and leave tribal council at any point, keeping themselves safe but also not getting to cast a vote.

Who Went Home on ‘Survivor’ Season 47, Episode 7?

Within the losing group, Gabe was confident that Rachel would be the one to go. However, Tiyana was onto the other team’s discussion and pointed out to Kyle that the other six players would likely team up against Tuku if they voted out Rachel and came back from the vote appearing to be “Tuku strong.” Tiyana approached Kyle with the idea of voting out Gabe instead.

Before the plan could work, though, Tiyana had to convince Rachel not to play her shot in the dark because they needed her vote for the plan to be successful. They also needed Caroline on their side because they doubted that Sue would turn on Gabe. However, Caroline wasn’t necessarily on board because she was worried about how much of a threat Rachel would be if they kept her around.

Meanwhile, Gabe approached Rachel to make sure she wouldn’t play her shot in the dark. He suggested a plan of voting Caroline out and pretended it was so Tuku wouldn’t be perceived as a “strong” five, similarly to what Tiyana previously said. Rachel was skeptical, though, and realized that the Tuku members could be “playing” her.

Sol sent Rachel his advantage, gifting her the safety without power. She was able to leave tribal council, meaning that the Tuku five had to turn on each other. Sol had kept the advantage a secret from the fellow immunity winners, so they were just as shocked when Rachel read the scroll out loud and wondered who gave it to her.

There was a live, whisper-filled discussion during tribal, which came down to Gabe and Tiyana targeting each other. Sue and Gabe were tightly aligned, so the decision came down to what Caroline and Kyle wanted to do. Tiyana ended up being unanimously voted out.
