Weeks ahead of the 2016 election, President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer wired $130,000 to adult film actress Stormy Daniels in order to keep her affair with the president — which began in 2006 — under wraps. Now the 38-year-old actress (real name is Stephanie Clifford) is offering to return the “hush money” in order to speak freely about her affair with the president.

According to the letter — obtained by countless media outlets — the contract ensuring Stormy’s silence would be “deemed null and void” once she returns the payment. In the offer submitted by Stormy’s attorny, she would be allowed to “(a) speak openly and freely about her prior relationship with the President and the attempts to silence her and (b) use and publish any text messages, photos, and/or videos relating to the President that she may have in possession, all without fear of retribution and/or legal liability for damages.”

Originally, Stormy denied both the affair and the existence of a “hush money” agreement — meaning that her only comments on the affair came from In Touch’s 2011 interview, during which she confirmed that she slept with the President shortly after he and his wife, Melania, welcomed their now-11-year-old son Barron. She previously attempted to void the agreement, arguing that Trump never signed and therefore it wasn’t valid.

If Stormy’s lawsuit isn’t successful, we may still get to hear her side of the story; according to her lawyer, Michael Avenatti, countless people have offered to cover the $1 million fee she’d face for breaking her NDA. He told CNN that “at least 10 individuals in the last three days alone” have stepped up and offered to pay the fee, admitting that she wasn’t considering any of the offers.

The latest update comes days after Trump successfully won a restraining order against Stormy, making it nearly impossible for her to open up about her affair.
