King Charles Reunited With Grandkids Archie and Lilibet for First Time in 4 Years

It’s a royal reunion!

King Charles III was reunited with his grandkids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in the United Kingdom on Friday, July 10.

The joyous occasion marked the first time the British monarch, 77, has seen Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s children since Queen Elizabeth II‘s Platinum Jubilee in 2022. The visit is only the second between Charles and Lilibet, 5, as she was born in the United States in 2021.

According to People, the reunion took place at Highgrove House, the monarch’s country home in Gloucestershire, England, as the California-based family was in town as part of their European summer vacation. Harry, 41, arrived before his wife and children to attend charity events in his home country.

It was initially unclear whether Meghan, 44, Archie, 7, and Lilibet would be joining the Duke of Sussex due to ongoing security concerns. The former Suits star and her children ultimately traveled to the U.K., avoiding London, and are not expected to make any public appearances.

Prince Harry’s relationship with the royal family has been strained for the better part of a decade. He and Meghan stepped down as senior working members of the family in 2020, and ultimately relocated their growing family to the States.

While Harry and Charles have worked to mend their relationship, the one between Harry and brother Prince William remains troubled.
