‘Sister Wives’ Stars Kody and Christine Brown Celebrated Anniversary With ‘Favorite Dinner’ and ‘Games’

Making it work! Sister Wives star Christine Brown revealed how she celebrated her 26th anniversary with husband, Kody Brown, in a new interview published on Wednesday, April 8. The TLC duo decided to improvise on how they would ring in the monumental occasion due to the lockdown in place.

“We actually had this great plan to put a door in our house because our whole upstairs is a loft and we haven’t had a door to our bedroom,” the TV personality, 47, told Us Weekly. “We went to the hardware store following social distancing rules, of course, but they didn’t have what we were looking for so we had to order it. So we had a Home Depot date.”

Christine said they ended the evening with one of their “favorite dinners” which they ate with the girls. They also enjoyed playing some games together while celebrating the milestone on March 25. That afternoon, she even took to Instagram with a photo of her and her hubby smiling in front of a sunset.

Kody, 51, and Christine have been spiritually married since 1994, so how do they keep the spark alive? The reality star says reading Napoleon Hill’s book Outwitting the Devil: The Secret to Freedom and Success really helped.

“The biggest problem people are having right now, is that they don’t have a purpose in their daily lives. So I think we all need to reconnect and figure out what that purpose is,” she shared, relating it to the novel. “Right now our family is so spread out, so it’s been important for us to find new ways to connect and to rekindle that sense of purpose.”

The father of 18 also discussed how they have made changes to keep the brood healthy amid the coronavirus outbreak. “We’re all working from home, however, some of us are not able to do necessary travel for work, and some of our entire industries are shut down,” he told the outlet, revealing “normal life has ceased” for the time being.

Luckily, they are all staying “in contact” via phone or conference calls and remaining positive while safe at home in Flagstaff, Arizona.
