Francia Raisa Epically Claps Back At Hater Who Says She’s Only An Actress Because Of Selena Gomez

Nothing gets us going on a Monday quite like an epic clap back! Francia Raisa — aka the star of Life-Size 2 — took to Instagram on Sunday, Dec. 2, to slam one of her haters. The commenter claimed the 30-year-old is only famous because she’s Selena Gomez‘ BFF, and needless to say, this didn’t go over too well with her.

“THE ONLY REASON WHY YOU BECAME AN ACTRESS IS BECAUSE YOU ARE KNOWN TO BE SELENAS FRIEND I MEAN YOU GAVE SELENA A KIDNEY AND YOU HAVEN’T EVEN GONE TO SEE HER LMAO WHAT A SHAME !!!!!!” They wrote in all caps. In response, Francia fired back (in the sweetest way possible), “If you are as big of a fan as you say you are you would know that Selena and I met through disney channel while we were both acting on different tv shows.” She continued, “My kidney donation was a personal choice and we chose to share it with you. Not every hang out needs a post 😉 Appreciate you and the love you have for my girl. Enjoy the movie tonight <3”

Francia was, of course, referring to Life-Size 2, which premiered on Freeform last night. In a separate Instagram post, she seemingly addressed the hater once more when she captioned the video, “Let me tell you something. I had so many people laugh at me and tell me I wouldn’t make it as an actress when I was younger and now I’m starring in my favorite childhood movie with @tyrabanks. Everything Tyra preaches is so real. Dream OUT LOUD! Don’t be shy! YOU ARE A STAR!”

ICYMI, Selena has been battling Lupus and revealed last year that she underwent a kidney transplant. In a touching Instagram post, the “Hands to Myself” singer opened up about the operation: “I’m very aware some of my fans had noticed I was laying low for part of the summer and questioning why I wasn’t promoting my new music, which I was extremely proud of,” she wrote on Sept. 14, 2017. “So I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health.”

In a joint interview on The Today Show the following month, Selena gushed about her friend. “There aren’t words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa,” the star said. “She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me. I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis.” Take that, haters!
