Rosie O’Donnell ‘Not Going to Fund’ Daughter Chelsea’s Lifestyle After Recent Arrest

Tough love. Rosie O’Donnell thanked fans for their support after she opened up about her daughter Chelsea’s arrest. “For all the people who told me they were going through something similar with a child or spouse or a brother or a lover, thank you for making me feel less alone,” the 62-year-old posted in late October. She has had a difficult relationship with the second of her five adopted children, noting that Chelsea has struggled with addiction for a decade. “Sadly, this is not new for our family,” she wrote. “We are all hopeful she will find her way out of this deadly disease.”

Weeks earlier, the 27-year-old was booked into Wisconsin’s Oconto County Jail where she faces felony counts of possession of methamphetamine, possession of narcotic drugs and bail jumping, plus misdemeanor counts of resisting or obstructing an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia. In September, the mom of four was also charged with child neglect, among other charges. She is due in court in November.

According to a police report, Chelsea’s home, which she shares with her boyfriend and their 11-month-old child, was “disgusting,” with rotten food, blood stains and used razor blades on the floor. Jacob Bourassa, the father of Chelsea’s three older children, has filed to modify their custody arrangement.

While heartbroken, Rosie will not come to her daughter’s rescue, a source exclusively confirms to In Touch, adding that the former talk show host cut her off financially. “Chelsea has to want help first,” says the insider. “When she’s ready to make a change, Rosie will be there for her, but she’s not going to fund Chelsea’s present lifestyle.”
