Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Reacts to Ex Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola’s Engagement: ‘I’m Glad She Found Happiness’
Amicable exes? Looks like it! Jersey Shore star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro reacted to his ex-girlfriend and former costar Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola’s engagement, and it seems like he’s on board with her new relationship.
“You know, God bless her, and I’m glad that she found happiness,” the 33-year-old told Entertainment Tonight on Thursday, June 6. “I’m glad that we’ve all found happiness, you know? We’re very lucky.”
The TV personality dated the 32-year-old on-and-off from 2009 to 2014 during their time on the hit MTV show. Unfortunately, after Ronnie confessed to cheating on her during an episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, they decided to go their separate ways.
“She gave me a timeline. She was like, ‘I want to get married in six months.’ I’m still trying to figure my life out,” he said at the time. “I got cold feet. I wanted to do the right thing, but there was a part of me that was like, ‘I’m not going to do the right thing.’ So, I didn’t do it. I ended up cheating, she found out. I blew it.”
Fortunately, the brunette beauty found love with Christian Biscardi. The duo started dating in 2017, and in March 2019, she revealed she was engaged. “I’m completely overwhelmed with happiness,” she captioned a photo on Instagram of her man getting down one knee. “Yesterday was the best day of my life! I get to marry my other half, best friend and soulmate. I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you @_biscardi, I love you!! #Fiancé #MrsBiscardi #StillCryingTearsOfHappiness.”
Ronnie moved on with Jen Harley, but the former flames have faced no shortage of drama over the past year. From explosive arguments to getting arrested, it’s never clear where these two stand. However, when the New York native was asked what’s going on with his baby mama — they share 14-month-old daughter, Ariana Sky — he skirted around the question. “Right now, she’s always going to the be the mother of my child,” he said.

Meanwhile, Ronnie is focusing on being a good dad to his little girl. “Everything I do now doesn’t affect me anymore — it just affects my child,” he revealed. “She has to grow up with that. You want to make sure you’re doing the right things because monkey see, monkey do, you know? And I don’t want her doing the same things I did. That’s for sure.”
It’s refreshing to see everyone get along, for once.
