Prince Jackson Shares Sweet Message For His Family Ahead of His 18th Birthday

Can you believe that today, Feb. 13, Michael Jackson’s son Prince (whose real name is Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr.) turns 18-years-old?

It seems like just yesterday he was the brave-faced tween who stood by his brother and sister at his father’s devastating funeral nearly five-and-a-half years ago.

Proving to be an exceptional young man, the teen celebrated his birthday by writing a sweet message honoring his family, including his late father.

Yesterday, he shared a picture on Twitter, which read, “Want to thank a few [people] and first is obviously my dad he was and is an incredible human being not only did he give me the gift of [life], he gave me an incredible opportunity to make something of myself.

“Secondly, my cousin/guardian TJ, he has made so many sacrifices to help me along and he’s been there when I needed him and helped shape who I am.

“Finally my grandmother/guardian, she has been through so much and is such a strong woman to have to live so much, she’s an inspiration to keep going no matter what and has been there for us and I love them all.”
