Pete Davidson Was ‘in a Good Mood’ and ‘Joking Around’ With GF Margaret Qualley Ahead of the Venice Film Festival
Sparks are flying! Pete Davidson and his new ladylove, Margaret Qualley, were spotted traveling to the Venice Film Festival on Thursday, August 29. Onlookers told Us Weekly that the new couple appeared to be in high spirits.
“Pete and Margaret were standing and chatting [and] laughing,” bystander Ismita Miah said. “There wasn’t much PDA, but he was in a good mood and the two of them were joking around.”
She added, “Margaret walked to the other side [of baggage claim] to get her bag and Pete was waiting with an older lady. Pete was super nice and posed for a photo.”
Just one day prior, a source disclosed to Us Weekly the 25-year-old’s new relationship status. “They’ve been seeing each other for a couple of months and Margaret is really excited about him,” adding that the couple is planning to make their red carpet debut at the premiere of Margaret’s new movie Seberg. The young actress, 24, is known for playing Jill Garvey in The Leftovers and appearing in Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood.
Pete has always found himself in high profile relationships. The new couple comes months after things with Pete and Kate Beckinsale fizzled out. The two were packing on the PDA from March to April. “They rushed into the relationship and fell head over heels without thinking about the logistics,” a source told In Touch following their split. “It’s one of those whirlwind romances that moved too quickly.”
And how could we forget Pete’s quickie engagement to Ariana Grande? After starting dating in May 2018, Pete confirmed his engagement to the 26-year-old singer on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon just one month later. “Now, you know you didn’t have to get engaged to Ariana Grande to come on our show, right?” the TV host, 44, quipped, to which Pete replied, “But I did, though … I feel like I won a contest. It’s f—ing lit, Jimmy. It’s so lit.”
Unfortunately, the two broke off their engagement in October. “I met Pete, and it was an amazing distraction,” Ariana recalled to Vogue in a July 2019 interview. “It was frivolous and fun and insane and highly unrealistic, and I loved him, and I didn’t know him.”
Although Pete hasn’t been lucky in love, we have a good feeling about his new lady!
