New Couple Alert! Pete Davidson Is Dating Actress Margaret Qualley
When it comes to relationships, Pete Davidson doesn’t exactly have the best luck. That said, the Saturday Night Live star, 25, is back in the dating saddle with new girlfriend Margaret Qualley. “They’ve been seeing each other for a couple of months and Margaret is really excited about him,” a source revealed to Us Weekly.
The actress is known for playing Jill Garvey in The Leftovers and appearing in Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood, but the couple plans to make their red carpet debut at the Venice Film Festival while promoting her newest project, Seberg.
Pete’s last high-profile fling was with actress Kate Beckinsale. The former flames packed on the PDA every chance they got from March to April before things fizzled out.
“They rushed into the relationship and fell head over heels without thinking about the logistics,” a source told In Touch following their split. “It’s one of those whirlwind romances that moved too quickly.”
Of course, Pete’s relationship with Kate, 46, was hardly his first whirlwind romance. Enter: Ariana Grande. Pete and the “Imagine” songstress, 26, began dating in May 2018. Fast forward a month later, and Pete confirmed the pair’s engagement during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
“Now, you know you didn’t have to get engaged to Ariana Grande to come on our show, right?” the TV host, 44, quipped, to which Pete replied, “But I did, though … I feel like I won a contest. It’s f—ing lit, Jimmy. It’s so lit.”
Unfortunately, things between Ariana and Pete took a tragic turn in September, after the pop star’s ex-boyfriend Mac Miller died of a drug overdose. In addition to many of the rapper’s fans blaming Ariana for his passing, she was riddled with grief — and ultimately, her relationship suffered.
By October, Ariana and Pete called off their engagement. “I met Pete, and it was an amazing distraction,” Ariana recalled to Vogue in a July 2019 interview. “It was frivolous and fun and insane and highly unrealistic, and I loved him, and I didn’t know him.”
Ariana is now rumored to be dating musician Mikey Foster.
