Trouble in Paradise? Kate Beckinsale and Pete Davidson’s Relationship ‘Moved Too Quickly’

Is it over before it even began? Kate Beckinsale and Pete Davidson apparently called it quits after four months together, a source tells In Touch. So, what went wrong?

“They rushed into the relationship and fell head over heels without thinking about the logistics,” the insider claimed. “It’s one of those whirlwind romances that moved too quickly.”

“Distance also played a part in the breakup,” the source said. “Kate lives in L.A., and Pete lives with his mom in New York.” On top of that, Kate is “starting to question whether she should date someone more age appropriate,” the insider added. In Touch reached out to Kate and Pete’s teams for comment, but did not hear back by the time of publication.

It seemed like things were going well between the former couple as the 45-year-old wanted the SNL comedian, 25, to meet her mama in March. “Kate is very picky about who she introduces to her mom, Judy Loe, so it’s a huge deal for Pete to meet her after just a couple months of dating,” a source exclusively told In Touch at the time.

Pete even got the seal of approval from his bestie Machine Gun Kelly. “I love that s–t,” he said in an interview about their romance. Additionally, Pete’s coworker Aidy Bryant was happy for him. “I only wish Pete the best, of course,” she told Entertainment Tonight in March.

The Hollywood A-listers were first seen leaving a Golden Globes afterparty together in January, and it seemed like it was perfect timing. Just one month earlier, the Trainwreck alum was in a bad place. After his former fiancée, Ariana Grande, broke things off with Pete, he shared a cryptic message on his Instagram profile. “I really don’t want to be on this earth anymore. I’m doing my best to stay here for you, but I actually don’t know how much longer I can last,” he said at the time. “All I’ve ever tried to do was help people. Just remember I told you so.”

Fortunately, the former MTV star met Kate at the right time. “Pete’s been an exciting breath of fresh air, and she’s falling for him, big time,” an insider told In Touch. “He’s hyper-intelligent, hilarious, quick-witted and kind, plus a fantastic and considerate lover, too — everything she wants from a guy.”

Welp, here’s hoping these two reunite sooner than later.
