You really can buy anything on the Internet!

Case in point? An Australian woman named April Creed is selling the “future rights to [her] worn out uterus” on eBay — but don’t worry, she’s doing it for a good cause: She’s trying to raise money to pay for her friend’s very expensive cancer treatment.

“I joked to someone that I’d tried selling my uterus on the black market but nobody would have it, then I thought that’s how I could get attention, so that is why I wrote it,” the seller explained to the Sydney Morning Herald.

On the listing, April shared fond memories of the organ she called “the literal duck’s nut of feminine wonder” that “on an ultrasound looks like a distorted bag of frog spawn.”

“The time my uterus rang in sick for work and got sprung by its boss taking duck-face selfies in the local park sunshine. The time my uterus ran for mayor. That time my uterus went to a birthday party and woke up in the fastenings aisle at Bunnings (glad that night didn’t go viral… still nervous),” the eBay listing states.

So far, there has been a positive response. One potential buyer asked, “Does it come already charged? Does it use an adaptor, solar, a regular house or outdoor socket or an extension cable?” The seller’s sense of humor continued to shine in her response.

“It seems to maintain charge quite nicely using the occasional adaptor,” she replied. “I’ve found it seems to do better with a variety of sockets rather than just the standard generic-type plugins. Hope this helps.”

Silly (and questionably dirty) responses aside, April’s BFF Ann Truscott — whose treatment costs $93,000 AUD (roughly $81,000 USD) — has many reasons to smile, as she’s clearly been touched by her friend’s commitment to fundraising.

“I haven’t got the words for it,” she told the Sydney Morning Herald. “What a fabulous person she is — everyone deserves an April in their life.”

A GoFundMe page has raised more than $17,000 towards their goal of $25,000. If you’re interested, April’s uterus is still up for grabs — but it’ll cost you! Starting bid is $2,500 AUD.
