Drama at the Balenciaga fashion show? Nicole Kidman and Salma Hayek were seemingly caught in a tense moment as seen in a video that has since gone viral.

Salma, 58, and Nicole, 57, posed for photos at the Balenciaga RTW (Ready-to-Wear) spring fashion show in Paris on September 30. When a photographer requested “one more” photo from the duo, the Fools Rush In star attempted to position the Gone Girl actress to face the camera. The two exchanged words before Nicole grabbed Salma’s hand, appearing to push it away.

Nicole turned to greet singer Katy Perry, then exchanged a few more words with Salma before walking off. It’s unclear what the pair said to each other, but after the Australian actress walked away — Salma seemingly said, “Yes, please. Advice.”

In the video, Nicole appeared chic in an all-black turtleneck dress paired with sheer tights, stilettos, and sunglasses, while the Mexican actress donned a black dress featuring a plunging neckline.

Salma’s husband, François-Henri Pinault, took the helm of Kering, a luxury goods company that owns several brands, including Balenciaga, in 2005, while Nicole serves as a brand ambassador for the label. Despite their awkward encounter, Salma put an end to the rumors of a feud with Nicole by posting a photo together on her Instagram feed.

“Finally last night the grand finale of my Paris Fashion Week 2025,” she captioned the snap on October 1. “[Clapping emoji] Balenciaga and Demna for a terrific show.” She also tagged Nicole and Katy’s Instagram handles.

Fans quickly took to the comments to share their take on the interaction between the A-listers. Some fans online speculated that Nicole told Salma, “Don’t touch me,” during the incident, though this remains unconfirmed and unclear.
