It’s time! The 2019 Video Music Awards are almost here and of course, you don’t want to miss the star-studded MTV awards show, so here’s everything you need to know about the highly anticipated event.

What channel are the Video Music Awards on?

The VMAs will be airing live on MTV on Monday, August 26. If you’re all about streaming, you’re just in luck! You can also watch the show on MTV.com or the MTV app. However, you will need to log in with your cable provider. For the first time ever though, you may be able to watch the VMAs on your Twitter feed. This year, MTV teamed up with Twitter to the MTV VMA Stan Cam, which is “a live, interactive viewing experience that will let viewers vote on which camera feeds they want to see,” according to Variety.

What time do the VMAs start and where are they located?

You can start tuning in at 8 p.m. ET, 5 p.m. PT and 7 p.m. CT. The VMAs take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Who is the host?

Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco will be hosting the VMAs. While this choice came to a surprise to many, the 46-year-old actually has a lot of experience in the entertainment industry — from multiple standup specials on Netflix to appearing in the Oscar-winning movie Green Book.

Who’s performing at the show?

It’s a year of many firsts. Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello will make their TV debut of their latest duet, “Señorita.” First-time performers include Lizzo, Lil Nas X, Rosalía, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Megan Thee Stallion, CNCO, Ava Max, h.e.r. and Normani, who’s making her VMAs debut as a solo artist.

The list of performers also includes some of your all-time fave artists such as Taylor Swift, Big Sean, A$AP Ferg, Missy Elliot, and the Jonas Brothers, who are making their VMAs comeback after a decade.

Obviously, the performances are the best part of the VMAs. And oh, so are the unplanned interactions. Ahem, we’re looking at you, Kanye West and T-Swift.

Regardless of what goes down this year, we’re sure it’s going to be memorable.
