Bode Miller’s Wife Morgan Shares a Heartbreaking Photo of Their Daughter After She Passed Away

This is devastating. It’s been just over two months since Olympic alpine skier Bode Miller and his wife, Morgan Beck, said goodbye to their daughter, Emeline, 19 months, after she accidentally drowned in a pool. Now, the 31-year-old mother is sharing a photo of their baby girl after she passed away. 

“I wish I could have one more day to hold you, but until that day comes, continue to work through me and give me the strength to bring awareness, my love,” the grieving mom captioned the heartbreaking pic on Friday, Aug. 17. “I told you as I held you in this moment that you could still change the world, you could still move mountains. Every step we take forward is because of you and Levi. Your footprint will forever be left on this world. I love you, My baby girl.” Warning: Some readers may find the photo disturbing. 

Morgan recently disabled the comments on a picture she posted of Emeline, who was named after her grandmother. This time, however, she let her fans send her messages of support.

“Oh my this just shatters my heart,” one person wrote. Another added, “This picture hits hard. I’m truly sorry for your family’s loss. I can’t imagine what you’re all going through.” A third added, “I wish this picture was not reality for you or any parent, past or future. Her love lives in you,” while a fourth said, “You’re so strong and your beautiful little girl will always be with you. Thank you for sharing your story. My heart is just breaking reading this and looking at it.”

The family released a statement following their daughter’s tragic death on June 10. “We are beyond devastated. Our baby girl, Emmy, passed away yesterday. Never in a million years did we think we would experience a pain like this,” the parents wrote on Instagram. “Her love, her light, her spirit will never be forgotten. Our little girl loved life and lived it to it’s fullest every day. Our family respectfully requests privacy during this painful time.” Our hearts go out to the Miller family.
