Miley Cyrus Jokes About Dating ‘New Potential Partners’ Following Liam Hemsworth Split
She’s just being Miley Cyrus! The pop star joked that she was interacting with some love interests at a haunted house — just a few months after she called it quits from her recent exes Liam Hemsworth and Kaitlynn Carter — on Tuesday, October 1. “Met a couple new potential partners,” she captioned a photo of herself sitting on a monster’s lap while sticking her tongue out. “Felt like I was on The Bachelorette.”
The 26-year-old continued to share scenes from her time in the spooky facility, and it seemed like she was having the best time. Of course, people couldn’t help but playfully comment about the blonde beauty’s epic night out. One person wrote, “Perfect couple,” while another echoed, “First one a keeper, ma’am.” A third person chimed in, writing, “LMAO. Cute couple goals!”
On Sunday, September 29, Miley shared a message about unconditional love via her Instagram Stories, and it seemed like it was aimed at her former flames. “Happy Sunday from me and my two stinky dogs! Waking up surrounded by animals is my favorite way to start the morning,” she uploaded a snap of herself with her dogs in bed. “I am immediately reminded to LOVE without conditions … The best part about animals is that they are careless about the details. They live by the golden rule … Love and be loved. Nothing in between. No questions regarding wealth, career, talents, race, age, sex … They love back 100 [times]. All they ask is to be care for in exchange for loyalty, reliability and faithfulness. (Reminds me of someone).”
It’s been quite a summer for the “Malibu” crooner. First, news of Liam, 29, and Miley’s split broke on August 10, and that same day, photos surfaced of Miley kissing Kaitlynn, 31, while they were on an Italian getaway. The Grammy nominee and The Hills: New Beginnings starlet both broke up with their former husbands — Liam and Brody Jenner, respectively — and bonded over their mutual heartbreak. Afterward, Miley and Kaitlynn’s fling was hot and heavy as they were spotted in New York City and Los Angeles together.
However, Miley didn’t want to be involved in a serious relationship just yet. “As far as I know nothing traumatic occurred,” an insider told In Touch exclusively. “There was no huge blow up or a third party that got between them. Miley is busy doing stuff, and she’s got a lot on her plate. Their romance didn’t fizzle out, it just ran its course. That’s it.”
The source added, “Miley’s fling with Kaitlynn was just what the doctor ordered after her breakup from Liam. Miley doesn’t burn bridges. They had a blast together and are going to remain friends.”
Since then, the Tennessee native took a trip with her mom, Tish Cyrus, and her sister Brandi Cyrus to Arizona and Utah, where they visited several tourist attractions including Zion National Park and Atatl Rock.
