Critics have long accused Meghan Markle and Prince Harry of cashing in on their royal titles, but that hasn’t stopped the couple from making the most of their upcoming trip to Australia.

The Duchess of Sussex, 44, is set to headline a women’s weekend retreat in Sydney, where VIP tickets range from $1,930 to $2,288, per People, while the Duke of Sussex, 44, will deliver the keynote address at the InterEdge Psychosocial Safety Summit in Melbourne, with tickets starting at $1,415, per People.

“[Meghan] says she and Harry have earned the right to chart their own path and make a success of it,” a source tells In Touch. “She keeps reminding him that they have millions of supporters around the world who are eager to engage with them and what they’re doing.”

“She’s convinced that if they stay focused, they can build something enormous together, a Camelot of their own,” reveals the source.

As In Touch previously reported, Harry and Meghan’s trips to Jordan and Colombia didn’t go over well with the royal family, who are battling intense public backlash in the wake of Andrew Mountbatten Windsor’s arrest.

However, “Meghan truly believes the tide is turning in their favor,” reveals the source. “She’s been telling Harry that they’re in a stronger position than the royal family in many ways now.”

The former Suits star also “keeps pointing out how outdated the royal family is, whereas she and Harry represent something younger and much more modern,” the source says, “and in her view, that means they have the potential to become even more influential than the royals in terms of reach and cultural relevance.”

The British public has started to call that of the crown into question, too.

“Everyone knows there’s a growing movement to abolish the monarchy, and these scandals with Andrew … have certainly given them fuel,” adds the source.
