Matt Baier’s New Wife Is Just as Shady as He Is, Arrested on DUI and Drug Charges
Former Teen Mom OG star Matt Baier surprised literally everyone when he suddenly married Jennifer Conlon — aka he found someone who would actually tolerate him. But I digress. After tying the knot in November, we’re beginning to learn more and more about his new leading lady, and her past is eerily similar to his.
Amber Portwood’s ex-fiancé has struggled with substance abuse issues for years — and it seems like his new wife is battling her own addiction issues. According to Radar Online, Jen was arrested on Nov. 7, 2017 for DUI and drug charges in addition to not having a driver’s license.
In a report obtained from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, police approached Jennifer while she was behind the wheel of her vehicle. “[Conlon] was involved in an accident prior to my arrival,” the officer wrote. “Above said she took medication. She answered slowly enough for me to notice.” She told police that she didn’t want a DUI because of the holidays and offered to park the car and walk home.
According to Las Vegas Municipal Court, she pled not guilty to all charges. She’s expected back in court on April 12, 2018.
Just months after Matt and the 27-year-old TMOG star officially called it quits, the Boston native secretly tied the knot with his girlfriend in his current hometown of Las Vegas. Matt confirmed his nuptials to E! News in an interview, published on Tuesday, Nov. 28. “She’s not a public figure. So we kept our relationship private,” Matt told the outlet of his romance with Jennifer, whom he met at a restaurant not long after he relocated from Indiana to Sin City. Matt said that he didn’t get down on one knee to ask for Jennifer’s hand in marriage. Instead, the idea of becoming husband and wife “just kind of came up.”
He added, “It was one of those situations where it just kind of felt like the right thing. We really get each other. We both have overcome a lot of stuff,” he said of Jennifer, who has two daughters. “It felt like the right thing to do. It just kind of happened that way.”
