This is awful. With 59 dead and more than 500 injured in what has since been declared America’s deadliest mass shooting, there are countless Americans sharing their own story of horror from the Las Vegas Strip on Sunday night. Among them is former Teen Mom OG star Matt Baier, who was in Sin City at the time of the attack.
“Please pray for the victims, their families, and the city of Las Vegas,” Amber Portwood’s former beau wrote on Instagram. “It was truly the most terrifying night of my life.” It would appear that since ending things with the reality star, Matt — who happens to be an avid gambler — has been living in Las Vegas.

Authorities are currently investigating what motivated the shooter — identified as Stephen Paddock, 64 — to open fire on the Route 91 country music festival from the window of his 32nd-floor hotel room at the Mandolay Bay. Following the attack in Sin City, the shooter took his own life in his hotel room, where authorities found 23 firearms many of which were used during the attack.
His brother spoke out to the press, insisting that their family was just as taken aback and horrified by the attacks as the rest of the world. “There’s nothing I can say. My brother did this,” Eric Paddock told reporters through tears. “It’s like he shot us. I couldn’t be more dumbfounded… Where the ehll did he get automatic weapons? He has no military background or anything like that. When you out about him, like I said, he’s a guy who lived in a house in Mesquite and drove down and gambled in Las Vegas.”
