‘Sister Wives’ Star Mariah Brown Is ‘Frustrated’ With People Commenting on Her Weight

She’s got something to say. Mariah Brown, the only daughter of Meri and Kody Brown from Sister Wives, has a pretty active social media presence and keeps her fans and followers regularly updated on what she and her fiancée, Audrey Kriss, are up to. For instance, Mariah, 23, took to her Instagram Story on May 9 to share some thoughts she has about people addressing her weight, even in a positive way.

Mariah shared a selfie from her trip to Bali on May 9 and received several comments about how great she looks. “You look like you’ve lost weight while in Bali … Might go 😂 you look so happy 😍,” one person commented. Replies like that are likely part of what triggered Mariah’s Story post in which she shared that she is “trying not to be frustrated when people say ‘wow have you lost weight?’ as if that is the most important/valuable thing about me.”

Mariah continued, “FUN FACT: my weight or lack thereof is probably one of the least interesting things about me! Ask me about my passions, my activism, my family, my interests. Literally. I am way more interesting than the amount of weight on my body.”

It probably doesn’t come as a total surprise that Mariah decided to address the issue to anyone who regularly follows her posts. The reality star writes a lot about wellness and seems very into “loving herself” these days and helping other people to do the same. So we can see why she might get upset with the topic of her looks if she works so hard to be “well” and is reminded how much people focus on weight rather than body positivity for all shapes and sizes. It seems like that’s more her jam.

In other news, at least Mariah seems to be having the time of her life at her yoga teacher training in Bali. On May 3, she shared a photo of herself in a comfy workout outfit and wrote, “Feeling so full up on cacao, love, and good conversation with new friends. Bali has been so good to me🌿.” Good for her! One of her other “moms,” Janelle Brown, even commented on the shot and said, “Super excited to do a yoga sesh with you!” We’ll definitely keep an eye out for photos of that on Mariah’s social media.
