Kim Kardashian, Farrah Abraham, and More Celebrities Support March for Our Lives Protests
They're saying enough is enough. As students gathered in major cities all across the United States to protest for more gun control in the wake of multiple school shootings, celebrities showed up to show their support. Reality stars like Kim Kardashian and Farrah Abraham, to singers Miley Cyrus and Paul McCartney all marched alongside parents and kids. The rally was organized by survivors of the mass shooting at the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, FL on February 14, including student and gun control activist Emma Gonzalez. The teenager gave an impassioned, poignant speech at the rally in Washington, DC where she stood silent for six minutes and 20 seconds — which is about how long it took for gunman Nikolas Cruz to invoke terror at the high school, killing 17 students and injuring 17 others, making it the deadliest school shooting in American history, according to The Huffington Post.
Kim has used her platform to raise awareness for gun violence and advocate for gun control, working with the nonprofit Every Town in a previous episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians . She flew out to Washington, DC with her husband, rapper Kanye West, and their four-year-old daughter North to show her support.
"So ready to March today! Landed in DC [with] North [and] Kanye. We stand in solidarity with the survivors of gun violence [and] students who are calling for action on common sense gun safety laws at #MarchForOurLives around the country @AMarch4OurLives @Everytown," she tweeted before the rally.

Meanwhile, other celebrities took to social media to show their support. "Watching everyone marching and speaking up is so inspiring, and so powerful. Keep going. You're changing the world. #MarchForOurLives," Ellen DeGeneres tweeted, and Jennifer Lopez wrote, "Sending my LOVE and ENCOURAGEMENT to all the young people traveling from NY [and] across the country to #MarchForOurLives with @MTV [and] @NAACP. THANK YOU for standing up [and] speaking out against gun violence #ENOUGH."
