She’s feeling the love. Maddie Brown shared a message on Instagram thanking fans and followers for their support after she revealed that her baby daughter, Evangalynn Kodi Brush, has a rare genetic disorder that causes limb malformation. “I keep getting on to post this, then get distracted reading all of your kind words!” she wrote on October 24. “Over the past 36 hours, we have been flooded with love, support, and kindness! I have had people reach out from foundations I didn’t even know existed. We have been educated on sooo much! We have learned that we are so not alone in this!”

The Sister Wives star continued, “Never in a million years would I have guessed it would go this way. I was so worried and now I know it was not needed. I would say unnecessary, but I am a mom and unnecessary worrying is second nature. Yesterday was spent with a lot of happy tears! So much relief for everything!”

She added, “I have been reading everyone’s comments and emails, private messages and all! I am trying to respond to as many as I can, but I have read them all! I can never express that gratitude I have as a mom for the acceptance by baby have received! THANK YOU! With all of my being! 💚💚💚”

Just a day earlier, Maddie, 23, revealed that baby Evie — whom she shares with her husband, Caleb Brush — was diagnosed with “fibular aplasia, tibial campomelia and oligosyndactyly (FATCO) syndrome” and was born without a thumb or toe and two of her fingers were fused together. Plus, unfortunately, the baby girl is missing her shinbone and calf bone in one of her legs.

“It’s abnormal, and it catches people off guard, but I want her to grow up and feel proud about who she is,” Maddie told People. “If I’m hiding this to protect her, is it really helpful?”

That same day, the reality star mom shared the news on Instagram and confessed that she was afraid to do so because she thought her daughter might be bullied. “We were hesitant to share Evie’s condition publicly for fear that our infant daughter would become the target of mean jokes and cyberbullying,” she wrote. “That said, we felt not being open would be even worse and make Evie feel ashamed for something that makes her all the more special in our eyes.”

Thankfully, it sounds like Maddie and her little girl have been receiving love instead of hate in the face of this challenge. “She’s a beautiful baby. With a beautiful family. She’s going to be fine ❤️ ,” one fan commented on Maddie’s October 24 post. We couldn’t agree more.
