Country singers Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean, along with former MLB player Adam LaRoche, are facing a $1.4 million lawsuit after their Nashville restaurant unexpectedly closed.
According to a report from WSMV Nashville published on June 19, Village 21 Investment Partners recently filed to amend the lawsuit related to the closure of E3 Chophouse. The real estate company alleged that Aldean, Bryan and LaRoche “stopped paying the monthly rent and abruptly closed the restaurant and ceased operations.”
Village 21 argues that shutting down the restaurant and stopping rent payments violated the lease agreement. It’s now attempting to add claims against the three men, alleging they guaranteed the restaurant’s obligations under the lease.
“The Guarantors [Bryan, Aldean and LaRoche] guaranteed the performance of Tenant’s obligations under the Lease, including the payment of rent, and agreed to pay the damages, liabilities, and costs, including attorneys’ fees, provided under the Lease resulting from Tenant’s default,” the amended lawsuit reads, per WSMV.

The restaurant’s website currently features a message to potential customers letting them know the venue is currently closed.
“Nashville — we’re hitting pause. We’re temporarily pausing operations as we evaluate what Nashville needs next,” the website states. “Our team is assessing market opportunities and exploring potential rebrand and re-concept strategies for the future of this location.”
In a statement to Backstage Country published on Monday, June 22, a spokesperson for the E3 Chophouse ownership group said that none of the partners were aware of the complaint and added that a resolution is already underway.
