Former Prisoner Kim Kardashian West Helped Free Attends Kanye West’s Sunday Service

Singing for all to hear! Just a few days after Kim Kardashian helped free Momolu Stewart from prison, he was spotted enjoying Kanye West’s surprise Sunday Service at Howard University on Sunday, October 13.

Stewart, 39, took the stage to share his story with the crowd and performed a song he wrote with friend and accomplice Kareem McCraney. The former prisoner took to Instagram to share an intimate moment with the-38-year-old herself. The two were all smiles as they had a quick chat. “Four and a half days after my liberation, I’m hanging with Kim and performing with Kanye. #FREEDOM #EPIC,” he captioned the post.

Both Stewart and McCraney, 38, were incarcerated for shooting Mark Rosebure who allegedly robbed the two, according to The Washington Post. McCraney was released in 2018 under the Reduction Amendment Action. Once Stewart was freed, McCraney was waiting for him. “I think people need to consider that one act or one misstep doesn’t define a person’s whole existence,” McCraney said. “You are more than your worst mistake.”

In Kardashian’s letter vouching for his release, she writes, “Momolu turned to the streets for guidance” as a result of his violent childhood where his mother killed his father when he was only six years old. She also added that he used in time in prison to better himself and others. “He helped set up programs to help other prisoners. He took every opportunity to re-imagine his life while staying completely out of trouble,” she continued. “Momolu is a genuine example of the transformation that can take place when a person commits their life to personal atonement and helping to lead others to their own redemption.”

After more than two decades behind bars, Stewart was released on Monday, October 7. He told Oxygen.com that he is so grateful for his second chance at life. “Cause I was buried alive,” Stewart told the outlet. “So now I’ve been resurrected. I’m back and I’m better.”

Stewart is just one example of the many people Kardashian has helped free on her quest for prison reform. She is currently studying to get her law degree and help others.
