Kevin Costner’s ex-wife Christine Baumgartner moved on from the Yellowstone alum with financier Josh Connor, and she was recently spotted flashing the enormous diamond engagement ring he proposed with two months ago.

Christine, 51, was seen in Montecito, California, on March 5, and photos obtained by the Daily Mail showed her and her daughter, Grace Costner, out and about. In one image, Christine was adjusting the black ball cap on her head as the diamond sparkled in the sun.

“It looks to be about a five-carat square-cut diamond set in platinum,” a Los Angeles jeweler told the publication after viewing the photos. “Assuming it’s not a lab-grown diamond, I would estimate it to be worth about $50,000.”

Kevin, 70, and Christine first met in the early ‘90s, and in her divorce filing, she claimed she was only 18 years old at the time and the Bull Durham star was 37. However, they didn’t officially start dating until 1999. Five years later in 2004, they officially tied the knot.

Kevin had four children from previous relationships when he married Christine, and they went on to welcome three children of their own during their marriage. Their son Cayden was born in 2007, followed by their son Hayes in 2009. Christine gave birth to Grace in 2010.

By 2023, their relationship had crumbled and Christine filed for divorce in May of that year after 18 years of marriage.

“I believe they did have counseling, even though it’s not one of Kevin’s favorite things to do,” a source told In Touch at the time. “Put it this way, neither of them really wanted a divorce. They tried to make it work, but they both decided it was time and the best thing to do for the entire family.”

However, it didn’t take long before their split got messy. The following month, Kevin’s lawyer filed paperwork to have Christine vacate the home they shared in Carpinteria, California. Then began the battle over child support.

Christine initially requested that the Field of Dreams actor pay her $248,444 per month, but Kevin claimed that was “highly inflated and unsubstantiated.” The judge eventually ruled that Kevin would pay $129,755 per month.

In July 2023, Christine was spotted on vacation with Josh, 49, who also happened to be her and Kevin’s former neighbor. The couple kept their romance out of the spotlight for the most part, but in December 2024, a source told People that Christine and Josh were “so in love.”

“Christine and Josh’s relationship started as a friendship, so they have a really strong foundation. They share the same values, and she feels so happy and supported in this new relationship,” the insider said at the time.

On January 26, Josh got down on one knee and proposed.

“It was about to rain, so almost no one else was on the beach when Josh got down on one knee,” a source revealed to People on January 29.

The insider explained that Christine had no idea he was about to ask her to marry him and instead thought they were going to a simple dinner.
