Robert Pattinson Leans on Katy Perry After Split From FKA twigs (REPORT)

Breakups are never easy, but it looks like Katy Perry is making Robert Pattinson's a lot more bearable. The 32-year-old singer is supporting Rob after his recent split from FKA twigs. According to Hollywood Life, the 31-year-old actor has been leaning on Katy during since his relationship ended.

"Katy has been a rock for Rob during this challenging split,” a source told Hollywood Life. "Despite being on tour, Katy makes it a point to shoot Rob a text, on a regular basis, to make sure he is not a crying mess. Katy cares a lot about Rob and they have a special friendship which they both appreciate."

The source explained that the stars are just friends right now, but that Katy wants to take their relationship to the next level. "While they are currently just friends, Katy thinks Rob is smart, handsome, sexy and would be totally open to romance with him," the source continued. "When the timing is better and after he heals a little, Katy thinks they would be a great pair now that they are both single."

Both Rob and FKA twigs have been quiet about the reason why they decided to call it quits. "They were almost inseparable for their first two years together," an insider close to the couple revealed. "But in recent months they have really started to drift apart and have been spending less and less time together."

The insider added, "Rob is tired of it, has called off their engagement and told friends they have split. With so much ­history between them, though, there are still strong feelings there. It’s a difficult situation but things have become tough between them for some time and they both know they were no longer working as a couple." The exes started dating in 2014 and became engaged in 2015.
