Katie Couric’s daughter impressed by mom’s Glee role

Her mother may be a world famous news anchorwoman, but the coveted position isn’t enough for 14-year-old Carrie Couric. The teenager is more impressed by mom Katie’s upcoming cameo on the Fox hit musical comedy, Glee. “She actually thought I was kind of cool for the first time in two years!” Katie told In Touch at the Hollywood Reporter’s Power 100: Women in Entertainment breakfast in Beverly Hills. The CBS Evenings News hostess, who also has a 19-year-old daughter, Ellie, will reportedly appear in a February Glee episode, donning “a lot of bangles and a top hat and a cane,” she says.
