Kate Gosselin Still Cooks for an ‘Army’ Even Though Mady and Cara Are in College: ‘I Can’t Help It’

Two kids in college means two less mouths to feed! Kate Gosselin took to Instagram to share an image of a dinner she prepared for her brood, minus two, with daughters Mady and Cara away at university. The 44-year-old took to the comments to add that she is still cooking for the masses even though her twins have flown the coop on Thursday, September 18.

“I keep cooking too much and the kids keep telling me to scale down!” Kate replied to a fan who said her “grocery consumption” has gone down since one of her children left for college — The Kate Plus 8 star admitted that she couldn’t relate. “I can’t help it! I’ve cooked for an army for almost 16 years lol!”

Now that there is room at the dinner table, Kate allowed her kids to invite an interesting dinner guest. Their green bird, Zorro, joined them for a glass of water and some broccoli. “Pets are people too!” the blonde beauty captioned the photo.

The reality star seems to keep things lighthearted on her Instagram, despite the harsh allegations that were recently thrown her way by ex-husband, Jon Gosselin. Now that the 42-year-old’s decade-long gag order has been lifted, he’s decided to share what a “militant” mom Kate is and wants fans to finally “find out the truth.”

“Kate is not doing the shows for her family, Kate is doing it for herself,” the DJ told DailyMailTV on Thursday, September 18. “She’s narcissistic and selfish. That’s it. Period. All of this is for her.”

“Kate Plus 8, Kate Plus Date, it’s her name first. She always speaks for the children,” the dad said. “They say this, they want to do this unicorns, rainbows and look, flying pigs. It’s all lies. They all have voices.”

Jon also noted that Kate allegedly mistreated son Collin and sent him to a special needs institution despite never being diagnosed with a severe disability — Jon claims Collin only has ADHD, and now PTSD from the experience. During his three-year stay at the facility, he wrote his father heart-wrenching letters begging to come home.

“I know my children have suffered abuse and I know one day they’re going to tell their own story,” Jon said. Although Kate has yet to comment on her ex’s tell-all, It looks like it is business as usual under Kate’s roof.
