Kate Gosselin Is About to Be the Mother of 8 Teenagers and We’re Freaking out for Her

Since making their TV debut on Jon & Kate Plus 8 in 2007, the Gosselin kids have really grown up over the years. And as it’s nearing on the sextuplets' 13th birthday, which falls on May 10, mom Kate Gosselin took to Instagram to share an emotional tribute to her six kids that were born prematurely back in 2004.

The mother-of-eight posted a snap of a pint-sized baby diaper and shared a story about her almost teenage kids who were dangerously tiny when they were born

“Sitting in my room with the kids thinking back to almost 13 years ago,” the 42-year-old wrote in her caption. “I pulled put this extra small preemie diaper from the NICU. I’ve kept it in my bedside table drawer, whenever we moved…to always remind me of how far we’ve come!! The kids were awed!”

This inspiring post got a lot of response from fans everywhere who gave support to Kate and offered preemie stories of their own.

“So many of us have followed you with complete awe,” one follower wrote. “You have done a BEYOND AMAZING job with all of your children. I know it's their 13 birthday and I of course wish them a wonderful day full of love and happiness but I also wish you an amazing BIRTHday.”

While we’re sure the six little ones are going to be celebrating their birthday in style, it’s highly doubtful that dad Jon Gosselin will be in attendance as Kate’s relationship with her ex is strained to say the least.

As In Touch previously revealed, Kate has strict rules surrounding her children’s ability to visit their father.

“Kate says no clothing or belongings can be brought from her house to Jon’s house, so the kids arrive for visitation [at Jon’s] in their school uniforms and change into clothes Jon has for them when they get to his house,” an insider said. “Then they put their uniforms back on before head­ing to their mom’s house.”

Though tensions between the co-parents are clearly at an all-time high, we hope that the fam can pull together for their little ones’ big birthday!
