Kanye West Reaches out to JAY-Z in an Attempt to Save Their Friendship (REPORT)

Maybe this friendship isn’t beyond repair after all. Just like brothers, hip-hop stars Kanye West and JAY-Z were great friends who loved hard and fought even harder. But they haven’t spoken to each other in nearly a year since Kanye went on a rant against JAY and Beyoncé at his Saint Pablo concert last November— and they might finally be able to have a sit down in order to put all this in the past.

Kanye has reached out to JAY and asked him to meet for a face-to-face, sources revealed to TMZ. Kanye wants to put their current feud to rest, and JAY might have been able to do that if ‘Ye didn’t bring JAY’s wife and their daughter Blue Ivy into their beef.

During his rant, ‘Ye accused Beyoncé of being “fake,” saying that she refused to perform at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards unless her “Formation” music video won Video of the Year, beating out Kanye’s “Famous” and Drake’s “Hotline Bling.” Then, Kanye took offense to the way JAY reached out to him after his wife Kim Kardashian was tied up and held at gunpoint during a robbery in Paris — which happened the month before Ye’s onstage rant.

“Don’t call me, after the robbery, and say ‘How you feelin’?’ You wanna know how I’m feeling? Come by the house. Bring the kids by the house, like we’re brothers,” Kanye said at the time. Many fans have expressed that JAY should cut ‘Ye some slack because he might not have meant what he said, since he suffered a mental breakdown shortly after and had to be hospitalized.

But JAY finally addressed their feud both in his new song “Kill JAY-Z” and in an interview on the podcast Rap Radar last month. He said he’s had fights with Kanye before, but ‘Ye took things too far by bringing up his wife and kid — so it’s unclear if he’d be willing to sit down with Kanye and hash this out.

“You know it’s a problem because me and him would have been talked about it, been resolved our issues,” JAY said. “And he knows crossed the line. He knows. And I know he knows. ‘Cause we’ve never let this much space go between one of our disagreements and we’ve had many. That’s part of who we are.”
