Kailyn Lowry Opens Up About Her Miscarriage: “[Javi] Was Not Helpful, Not Sympathetic”

Kailyn Lowry can’t seem to catch a break.

The mother-of-two had her own Teen Mom 2 reunion segment last night on MTV — and she revealed just how devastating her recent miscarriage was for her family.

Kailyn’s estranged husband Javi Marroquin previously said he “blamed” Kail for losing the baby — and in last night’s check-in with Dr. Drew, she explained, “He was not helpful, not sympathetic.”

Javi defended himself, saying, “In my mind, I knew it wasn’t her fault. I was just hurt, and I took it out on her — that was my mistake. That’s where our marriage kinda started going downhill.”

While the two are now divorcing, Javi said he hasn’t given up hopes for a reconciliation.

Kail expressed her worries for her family — particularly her son Isaac, 6, who is incredibly close with his stepdad. And Javi made it clear he shares those concerns.

“[Isaac is] my best friend. I want to be in this marriage,” he insisted. “I want all of us to be together. But her mind is set, and when her mind is set, there’s no changing it.”

Kail’s mind may be set — but that doesn’t mean that it was easy for her to accept that her marriage is over.

“I think it’s hard to think of the fact that maybe I could be happier without him,” she explained. “It’s a really hard pill to swallow.”
