Say it ain’t so! Kailyn Lowry has earned her fair share of backlash from fans throughout her eight seasons on Teen Mom 2, but there’s no doubt that there would be a huge void in the cast if she ever decided to leave the show. So when Kail exclusively revealed to In Touch that she doesn’t plan on attending the upcoming Teen Mom 2 reunion special, fans immediately began to wonder if there was truth to the rumors that claimed Kail is going to quit the MTV series for a new show.
“As of right now, I’m not going to the reunion. My kids are in school and Jo and Javi both plan to be at the reunion so I want to be home to make sure the kids get to where they need to be,” she told In Touch. “Plus I have a newborn who doesn’t need to be dragged to LA for a short weekend.”

Kail is a mom-of-three — she shares seven-year-old son Isaac with her ex-boyfriend Jo Rivera, three-year-old son Lincoln with ex-husband Javi Marroquin, and she shares two-month-old Lux “Baby Lo” Russell with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Chris Lopez. So it makes sense that she would want to stay home with her children instead of leaving them with a babysitter or a nanny.
As for whether she plans to leave the MTV series for a new show? Well, that answer seems unclear. After six years in school, Kail graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Delaware State University back in May. During her last media class of her college career, Kail’s professor asked her fellow students if they had any ideas for a TV show that they could pitch to her, and some of them offered to talk about their ideas with her after the cameras stopped rolling. Whether Kail took her classmates’ suggestions remains a mystery, but she recently confirmed that she is indeed working on a new show, and the topic is close to her heart.
“I filmed a pilot with one of my friends back in March so I am hoping to edit that and try to get it out there. I want to pitch it and see what happens,” the 25-year-old revealed to Radar. “It’s a TV show about working moms with a spin to it.”
