Justin Bieber posted a cryptic message with a biblical reference weeks after the singer’s rep denied rumors about his drug use.
“Jesus didn’t heal his best friend Lazareth [sic] right away. Even tho he knew people would talk s–t, saying how could he be god if he didn’t heal his best friend?” Justin, 31, wrote via Instagram Stories on Thursday, March 6.
The “Ghost” singer continued his message in a follow-up post, writing, “But Jesus wasn’t trying to please everyone and didn’t allow people to rush him. He knew what he was capable of.”
Justin concluded the statement by sharing the “best part” of the story when “everyone thinks Jesus is late and let his friend die.”
“Jesus is never late. He shows up and RAISES HIM FROM THE DEAD SHOWING THAT HE HAS THE POWER OVER LIFE AND DEATH,” the Grammy-winning artist wrote.

Justin shared his message amid concerns over his well-being. Since January, fans have become concerned about the Canada native’s appearance as he looked disheveled in public. However, Justin’s rep denied the speculation in a February 23 statement to TMZ.
According to the rep, the “Baby” singer is at a “transformative” point in life in all aspects, from recently becoming a first-time parent to cleaning out his inner circle after he “ended several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him.”
As for the rumors that Justin has allegedly been using hard drugs, his rep deems the chatter “exhausting and pitiful and shows that despite the obvious truth, people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive.”

Meanwhile, a source told the outlet that the photos of Justin with dark circles under his eyes were taken at an unfortunate time. According to the insider, the “Stay” artist has been tiresome while recording new music and is tending to his infant child, Jack Blues Bieber, who is having trouble sleeping. Justin shares his son with wife Hailey Bieber (née Baldwin), whom he has been married to since September 2018.
In January, Justin shocked fans when he shared a photo of seemingly smoking marijuana out of a bong while lounging on a couch. Fans sounded off in the comments section of the post with a mix of people shaming Justin, while others didn’t correlate his use of marijuana to hard drugs.
The hate clearly didn’t get to Justin’s head, as he shared a photo via Instagram on March 4 of himself smoking out of a bong while sitting on a bike.
Justin previously admitted to his past drug use during his 2020 documentary Seasons and admitted that he started smoking marijuana as “12 or 13” years old.
“There was a time when I was sipping lean, I was popping pills, I was doing molly (MDMA), shrooms, everything,” he explained in the documentary. “It was just an escape for me. I was just young, like everybody in the industry and people in the world who experiment and who do normal, growing up things. But my experience was in front of cameras and I had a different level of exposure.”
