Joy Behar is shutting down rumors of bad blood with former The View cohost Elisabeth Hasselbeck after years of headline-making on-air clashes.
The pair reunited on the Tuesday, March 3, episode of The View while Hasselbeck, 48, filled in during Alyssa Farah Griffin’s maternity leave. Their appearance together marked the first time they’ve shared the table following their spat over Carrie Underwood performing at President Donald Trump’s 2025 inauguration, per People.
Speaking on the show’s Behind the Table podcast on Tuesday, March 3, Behar, 83, addressed speculation that they’re still feuding.
“She’s a good kid, you know. I always liked her,” Behar said. “We used to fight on the air about politics, but, so what?”

Behar reminded listeners that debate has always been part of the daytime talk show’s DNA. “That was the show,” she explained. “It was called The View.”
And what about that public back-and-forth over Underwood — in which Hasselbeck famously told Behar to “simmer down” in a post shared on X?
“No, it’s fine,” she said. “Today you could see we’re friends. We’re friendly. Watch the show.”
The feeling is mutual: During Tuesday’s broadcast, per the outlet, Hasselbeck told Behar, “We are like family.”
