Jordyn Woods Hangs Out With Kim Kardashian’s Ex Ray J Following MTV Movie Awards Sex Tape Joke

Well, this is awkward. Jordyn Woods’ mom, Elizabeth Woods, shared a series of photos on Instagram on June 18, and in one of them, her daughter is standing with Kim Kardashian’s ex, Ray J. — a.k.a. the rapper who starred alongside the 38-year-old in her 2003 sex tape. As if this wasn’t cringe enough, the photo came just after Zachary Levi opened the 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards with a joke about the infamous tape and right before Jordyn’s cheating scandal drama with Khloé Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, airs on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

People probably wouldn’t have thought much of the photo, except Ray J, 38, and Kim’s romantic past makes it a bit weird. Especially given the fact that Jordyn was very close with the Kardashian/Jenner family thanks to her former friendship with Kylie Jenner. But the former besties had a falling out after Jordyn’s hookup with Tristan. So seeing Jordyn with another Kar-Jenner ex is just a little jarring, even if the two of them hanging out was for something as innocent as a TV show.

Elizabeth posted the photo just days after the MTV Movie Awards took place, during which Ray J’s wife, Princess Love, gave the middle finger to the camera after Zachary, 38, made the sex tape joke. “And, of course, America’s other sweetheart Ray J, from Love & Hip Hop, is here,” the Tangled star said in his opening remarks. “Although I’m sure some of you are more familiar with his work as a cameraman.” Shady! Even though the host later added, “I had to. I’m sorry, it was collectively a great idea,” the damage was done.

Ray J and Kim have both moved on and are happily married to other people, but can’t seem to totally escape their sordid past together. As for Jordyn, she doesn’t seem to be able to escape being in the vicinity of men who’ve been with the Kardashians. The world of celebrities is a small, odd one indeed.
