“We absolutely felt like we were the victims of a lynch mob led by the media,” he says of himself and his late wife, Patsy. “There’s no question that the Boulder police department believed we were the killers.”
This comes shortly after a teaser was released for John’s son Burke’s upcoming interview with Dr. Phil, his first media appearance.

“I know people think I did it, that my parents did it. I know we were suspects,” the 29-year-old confessed to the TV doctor. “I want to honor her memory by doing this interview. I don’t want anyone to forget.”
The Killing of JonBenet: The Truth Uncovered airs on Monday, Sept. 5, at 9 p.m. on A&E.
