Fans Are so Happy to See Hannah Gosselin Hanging out With Jon Instead of Kate

Daddy duties! Jon Gosselin has recently been spending a lot of quality time with his daughter Hannah Gosselin, and fans are totally loving it. The duo celebrated Hannah's birthday a few weeks ago, grabbed some Mexican food, and took a selfie at Starbucks. Although it's unclear why Hannah has been hanging with Jon and not her mother, Kate Gosselin, she sure looks incredibly happy to be around him. "Aww, she has always been a daddy's girl. Great picture," one fan wrote on Instagram. Another said, "She looks so naturally happy! I'm so glad you stayed persistent! It's been a long, hard road, Jon. But, you have traveled it with dignity. Your children will be proud!"

Hannah isn't the only child to spend time with her dad lately, either. Jon and Hannah visited her brother Collin, who currently lives at a home for children with special needs. Unfortunately, this was a rare visit, as it's been months since Jon has had any interaction — that he has shared publicly — with the rest of the gang.

But none of this is new, as Jon and his eight kids have made headlines for years. The 41-year-old former reality star has been in a constant custody battle with his ex-wife, Kate, over their sextuplets and 17-year-old twins, Mady and Cara, ever since the couple filed for divorce in 2009. Although he has wished all of his children a happy birthday on Instagram, he has a very estranged relationship with most of them.

"He makes it seem like we're being kept from him, which is insane," Mady said about her relationship with Jon to People in 2016. "He should maybe spend some time thinking about why we don't want to see him, and maybe realize that if he ever does want a relationship with us, talking about us on TV is not the way to make that happen…He doesn't even know us. How can he dare to talk about us?"
