Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar Reportedly Confronted Derick Dillard Over Transphobic Tweets

Family drama! A new report claims Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar were so fed up with their son-in-law, Derick Dillard, they had to confront him. 

“Everything that Derick has said has caused the family bad press,” a source told Radar Online. In fact, the entire family is “pissed off” at the father-of-two because they don’t like “what he says and how he says it.”

ICYMI, the former Counting On star was fired from TLC after sharing his unwarranted opinion on I Am Jazz star, Jazz Jennings. Last August, he tweeted, “What an oxymoron… a ‘reality’ show which follows a non-reality,” before adding, “‘Transgender’ is a myth. Gender is not fluid; it’s ordained by God.”

Unfortunately, Jill Duggar‘s husband didn’t stop there. He later claimed that he harbored no ill will toward Jazz — even though he referred to her using the wrong pronoun. “I want to be clear. I have nothing against him. I only have issue with the words and definitions being propagated here,” he tweeted. 

In November, Derick misgendered Jazz yet again, and that’s when TLC finally gave him the boot. “I pity Jazz, 4 those who take advantage of him in order 2 promote their agenda, including the parents who allow these kinds of decisions 2 be made by a child,” Derick wrote. “It’s sad that ppl would use a juvenile this way. Again, nothing against him, just unfortunate what’s on TV these days.”

Since then, the father-of-two has taken aim at Nate & Jeremiah by Design stars Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent. In April, he took to his favorite platform (Twitter) once again. “What a travesty of family,” he wrote on a promo for the home improvement show. “It’s sad how blatant the liberal agenda is, such that it both highlights and celebrates a lifestyle so degrading to children on public television as if it should be normal.”

And if that weren’t enough, he then targeted the cast of Lost in Transition. “I really hope this is a series showing the devastation that mental illness causes, rather than presuming that these challenges are simply evidences of an improving society. #optimism.”

Ugh. No wonder JB and Michelle had to stage an intervention!
