Is Jill Duggar Worried About Derick Dillard Cheating? She Shared A Bible Verse About Adultery

Uh-oh — it looks like Jill Duggar may be worried about Derick Dillard cheating. Lately, they’ve seemed to be doing well in their marriage, but there may be trouble at home now that Derick has started law school. With him leaving the house to be out around new people (and new women), we can understand how the mom of two might be stressing. And fans are pointing to her newest social media post as the proof. 

Recently, she posted an Instagram photo of her two sons and her bible, and captioned it, “Praying for my hubby and boys this morning! #proverbs #wisdom.” The photo seemed pretty normal for a Duggar daughter to share, but followers noticed something strange about the passage she had open. It was one marked “Warning Against Adultery” — and the whole thing was highlighted.

“And no one else has noticed that she’s praying for her husband under ‘warning against adultery?'” one follower commented. “I don’t have to pray for my husband to not be adulterous,” said another. “He loves me unconditionally and there is trust between us.” Yikes. 

People on reddit had their own discussion about the post in the /r/DuggarsSnark subreddit, and some commenters there couldn’t get over the highlighting. “It’s really common to read Proverbs daily, so today’s the fifth and she’s reading Proverbs 5,” wrote one reddit user. “It’s not so common to have the entire passage on adultery highlighted.”

This isn’t the first time there have been concerns about cheating going on in the Dillard household. Fans were also concerned about the couple’s marriage last December, their suspicions sparked in no small part by his frequent tweets about adultery. He also shared a bible passage on the subject, writing, “He who commits adultery lacks sense; he who does it destroys himself.”

At the time, the other theory that Duggar followers shared was that Derick could’ve been throwing shade at his brother-in-law Josh Duggar, who was found to have chated on his wife in 2015. But we’ve got another theory to offer, too. In this family, where it’s a woman’s job to be “joyfully available” to her husband and provide for his needs, maybe Jill isn’t praying about adultery because she’s worried Derick is cheating. Maybe this is just another one of the tasks that fall onto a wife’s to-do list to prevent her husband from straying.
