Jeremiah Raber Freaks out After Wife Carmela Steals $16,000 and Bails on Him

Yikes. Return to Amish star Jeremiah Raber went on a wild rant about his estranged wife Carmela Mendez on Facebook on Oct. 12. He was riled up after she allegedly stole $16,000 from the sale of their home and drove off, and wanted to vent to his fans about everything that went down. "We sold the property, cashed the check this morning, she put it in her purse, and when I got out to go pay electric bill she took off." Ouch. He said he had to "walk six miles home."

Despite Jeremiah saying he was going to divorce her in August following his domestic violence arrest, according to Radar, he said he was still trying to make it work with Carmela. Just one week ago, he posted a cute picture with his wife on Instagram. The couple even planned a road trip to California, but then things took a nasty turn. "We were going to go on this road trip together but come to find out she was desperate for money," he said. "She blocked me on everything. She has an $800 camera that she forced me to buy last week, half of my clothes, $16,000, and she has the pills that she had to get because her back hurts."

Jeremiah went on to claim that Carmela abuses her pain medication, saying "she was addicted before I even met her," and insisting that she takes "a lot of sleeping pills and drinks tons of energy drinks everyday." On top of that, he said that she's the abusive one, not him. "Have I screwed up in my life, our marriage, absolutely. You guys never heard the s–t she did. She laid hands on me when I didn't raise one hand. She spread lies about me, I'm no longer holding back. I did not throw that coffee on her. A little bit splashed on her, that was it, but yet I get taken to jail." He also insisted that she was controlling, made him explain every dollar he spent, checked his phone constantly, and tried to make him delete his social media.

At this point, Jeremiah said that he's "done with her." Though he couldn't answer when a fan questioned whether he would take her back, he did say "do I still love her? Absolutely I do, but I can only take so much. She had her chance to make things right, I've been trying to call her, she refused to answer. I was told that Carmela was after my money, and that was correct, that was so correct." Jeremiah said he plans to recoup at least half of what she took in divorce court.
