Fans Slam Jenelle Evans’ California Vacation Pics Following Devastating Shooting And Fire

And the People’s Choice Award for most awkward response to a natural disaster goes to… Jenelle Evans! Can we get a round of applause for the Teen Mom star? Over the past few days, California has suffered some devastating tragedies. A mass shooting in Thousand Oaks rocked Southern California late on Wednesday, Nov. 7, and a day later the news was followed up by deadly fires blazing through several different parts of the state. But on Sunday, Nov. 11, Jenelle Evans decided to give California some love. Only, she didn’t even mention everything that had been going on.

“This is the most magical place I’ve ever been in my life! I’m so glad to have experienced it with my best friend,” she wrote on Instagram. The post was an album of herself and husband David Eason in Sequoia National Park — but mainly a photo shoot of the Teen Mom 2 celeb posing by the ancient redwoods. “This makes you wonder if giants were ever real… 🤔 Nature is super breathtaking. Don’t ever take it for granted. Adventure out everywhere you can and explore the world! 💓🌲 #BuildingMemories #BucketList”

Fans were appalled by the post. “Girl, our state has gone through a horrific mass shooting and is literally burning down from the north to the south and you want to find the one piece of land that’s still intact…” one follower wrote. “If you want to post about our state, post about our residents who lost their lives and homes… Post about our amazing firefighters and first responders who give their lives to save lives. I swear you ALWAYS are classless with the worst timing ever! SMH.” Another simply wrote, “Come visit Camp Fire victims,” referring to the Northern California fire that leveled the entire town of Paradise, CA.

They weren’t the only photos that Jenelle posted — and this also isn’t the first time the mom of three has been called out for this kind of behavior. Earlier this year, she was called out for posting a photo of herself in a bikini to ask for prayers during Hurricane Florence. She also got flack for saying she was “getting skinnier” because of the storm. Though she deleted both posts once she started getting pushback, the California vacation pictures are still up for now. She has, however, tweeted about at least one of the tragedies. “My heart and prayers go out to everyone in Cali right now with these wildfires,” she wrote on Twitter on Sunday, Nov. 11. At least that’s something.
