Jay Z May NOT Be Kanye West’s Best Man at Wedding as Appearing on ‘KUWTK’ Would Be Too Embarrassing for Beyoncé

Jay Z and Kanye West’s days of giving each other a bro-hug may come to an end shortly.

“Jay is Kanye's closest friend so he wants him to be best man,” an insider said.

However, Jay Z will only take part in the wedding ceremony under one condition.

“Jay agreed initially but had one condition,” the insider adds, “under no circumstances can there be any reality TV shows filming him, his wife, Beyoncé or daughter Blue Ivy during the ceremony."

That means if the reported May 24 wedding gets filmed for Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the 44-year-old rapper—and his family—will not be part of it!

“The thought of popping up in KUWTK mortifies Beyonce,” the insider told the UK's Daily Star. “She purposefully keeps herself away from trashy TV and isn’t prepared to lower her standards for anyone, or any occasion.”

Being that West’s over-the-top proposal to Kim Kardashian aired last month, there’s a good chance that the lavish Paris ceremony will be filmed as well.

"Bosses at E! are desperate to get the nuptials on air, and will pay millions to make it happen," the source says.

In a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest, the 33-year-old reality star said, “We're having a super, super small, intimate wedding. As we go along, we're realizing we want it to be smaller and more intimate than people are imagining and thinking."

A “small intimate wedding” is all that is needed—especially if it’s going to be broadcast to more than 10.5 million viewers (the total viewers from Kim’s Fairytale Wedding in 2011).
