Wait… is Teen Mom 2 canceled?! Fans of the popular MTV reality show are worried that they’re going to have to say goodbye to the stories of the moms they’ve been following for years. And honestly, we don’t blame them because we’re not ready to say goodbye to Kailyn Lowry, Chelsea Houska, Jenelle Evans, and Leah Messer.
That’s why thankfully, we don’t have to say goodbye to these women, their husbands, baby daddies, or adorable kiddos just yet. The show currently wrapped its eighth season and there’s no reason to expect that the series will end anytime soon. What fans might be confused about is the fact that MTV chose not to move forward with Teen Mom New Jersey. In Touch previously reported that the show was canceled before the first episode even aired.
“Last weekend the girls on the show got calls basically informing them that the show isn’t going to air,” a source told the The Ashley’s. “They didn’t really give them an explanation — just the standard ‘We’re moving in another direction’ line. The girls are really upset because they’ve worked so hard on this project and were really excited for its premiere.”
And this isn’t the first time rumors have swirled that TM2 was coming to an end. Kail hinted at the show’s ending in her autobiography last year. “Now, especially with the show coming to an end, it’s time for my accomplishments to stand out. I want to show everyone that even though I grew up like white trash and got knocked up at seventeen, I can get a Bachelor’s degree and raise children who blow people away with their manners, wit, and intelligence.” Well… we guess it can’t go on forver — or, can it?
