Irina Shayk Explains Why She Doesn’t Talk About Her Relationship With Bradley Cooper

Let’s be honest: Bradley Cooper is a total catch. The 44-year-old was already a hunk and an amazing actor, but now he’s a Golden Globe-nominated director whose film A Star Is Born is up for Best Picture at the Oscars in 2019. Suffice it to say, most women would be bragging hard if he was their man. But not Irina Shayk. The stunning 33-year-old model — who shares a 22-month-old child with Bradley — stays pretty much mum on their relationship. On February 7, she revealed why she’s so private about her love life.

“I have a lot of friends who share a lot of their personal life on Instagram or social media, very publicly,” she told Glamour U.K. for her February cover interview. “I admire it and I think it’s great — but I think it’s all about personal choice.” As a matter of fact, she admits that the public nature of her job as a Victoria’s Secret angel is why she chooses to keep her family life much more lowkey.

“Because my work requires me to be out there, I just decided my personal life will be quiet,” she said. “That’s why it’s called personal, because it’s something for you and your family and I feel happy with it.”

That means that despite being a doting mom, we never see her daughter Lea on social media, and rarely catch a glimpse of her actor beau on Insta either. However, fans shouldn’t worry that there’s any sort of trouble in paradise. Just look at all of the awards shows Bradley has been to in the past few months: The Golden Globes, the Directors Guild of America Awards, the National Board of Review Annual Awards, the Palm Springs International Film Festival — Irina has stood proudly by Bradley’s side through all of them! It’s actually refreshing to see a celebrity couple be so down to Earth, though we would like a peek at their sweet baby girl!
