Sutton Foster
Hugh Jackman’s rumored girlfriend, Sutton Foster, has been going back and forth in court with her estranged husband, Ted Griffin, for the past couple of weeks, In Touch can exclusively report.
According to court documents obtained by In Touch, on November 19, Ted responded to the divorce petition that Sutton, 49, filed on October 30.
Ted filed an answer to the petition with counterclaims. Sutton responded to the counterclaims on December 5. The court docket shows no movement in the case since Sutton filed her response.
The exes wed in 2014 and share one child.
In November, sources told Us Weekly that Hugh, 56, and Sutton were a couple after months of speculation. Sources told the outlet that the pair were “happier than ever.”
The insider described the romance as “lighthearted” and “joyful.”

Back in September 2023, Hugh and his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, announced they were separating after 30 years of marriage.
The exes released a joint statement that said, “We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”
They continued, “Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”
The statement ended, “This is the sole statement either of us will make.”
Hugh and Deborra-Lee share two kids: Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18. As of yet, there has been no known divorce petition filed by Hugh and Deborah.
Back in November, Deborra-Lee seemingly reacted to Hugh’s new romance with Sutton, who starred in The Music Man on Broadway with Hugh. The production ran from December 2021 to January 2023. Hugh and Deborra-Lee split eight months later.
Deborra-Lee reportedly liked an Instagram post from her private account that a blogger who claimed Hugh had blindsided Deborra-Lee by sharing his romance with Sutton publicly.

Deborra-Lee’s friend Amanda de Cadenet commented, “You are on point with this one. My beloved friend Deb is about to have her glow up any moment fyi!”
Us Weekly reported that Hugh’s relationship with Sutton “is the reason” that he and Deborra-Lee separated.
“A lot of people on Broadway knew, and we kept it quiet because both of them are so nice and great people. Everyone respected their privacy. But there was an affair and overlap,” a source told Us Weekly. “They are really happy now.”
Another source told the outlet that Deborra-Lee was aware of Hugh’s relationship with Sutton. “Deborra-Lee was blindsided when she found out about the affair through the run of the show,” the industry insider said.
“Deborra-Lee had her suspicions when Hugh started working with Sutton,” another source told Daily Mail last month. “Their relationship is not a secret to her.”
Hugh has had a huge year with his film Deadpool & Wolverine, costarring Ryan Reynolds, grossing over $1 billion at the global box office.
