Fans want jill duggar back on counting on

While her husband Derick Dillard gets plenty of ire from the Duggar family followers, it seems like there’s still lots of love for Jill Duggar. In fact, a lot of Counting On viewers miss seeing her on TLC. It certainly didn’t help that the family recently posted a throwback picture of Jill and her sisters Jana, Jessa, and Jinger to their Facebook page, prompting fans to send plenty of love her way, not to mention requests for her to come back on the show. Some of them are even willing to overlook that whole Derick-was-fired-for-being-transphobic thing.

“Jill I miss you on the show,” wrote one Facebook user. “I know why you aren’t on it and I don’t agree with the producers. Would love to see you and your husband on again.” “So glad that Jill is in the picture,” said another. “I miss Jill, wish they would put her back on the show,” read another comment. “Bring Jill and Derek back!” Those commenters weren’t alone. Plenty of other people also spoke up, writing that they missed the couple.

We have to admit, it is a little weird that Jill’s not on Counting On anymore — especially considering that the show was originally called Jill & Jessa: Counting On. The spin-off was announced after 19 Kids and Counting was cancelled following the news of Josh Duggar‘s molestation scandal, and it was designed specifically to follow the two older girls as they started their own families. So the fact that Jill is no longer part of the show that was created for her is, well, kind of bizarre.

But it’s also not a surprise. In addition to verbally attacking another TLC star on Twitter, Derick also seemed to have a rough relationship with the channel. He referred to his time filming the show as “volunteering,” claiming that he was never paid for his time and appearances, and even complained about TLC not paying the family’s medical bills after youngest son Israel spent time in the NICU. Though the channel never gave the official word that Derick was “fired,” they also made it more than clear they wouldn’t be working with him again.

It seems like fans will just have to keep missing Jill. But hey, at least she’s constantly on Instagram these days sharing her wonky recipes and bad parenting life hacks, right?
